    Room 2 is a warm and welcoming accessible double on the ground floor. Romantic lace drapes envelope the white four poster bed, and it features an en-suite shower. It's decked front is shared with Room 1 and provides the perfect spot to enjoy our historic courtyard garden.

    Room 3 is a balcony room, overlooking the garden with distinct nautical charm. It's gorgeous brass captain’s bed makes a grand statement. The en-suite features both bath and shower. A perfect room for starcrossed lovers.

    Room 4 is situated on the second floor of The Old Workshops, and features an en-suite shower. A small, cosy single, it’s a great for a stop for solo adventurers.

    Room 5’s stained wood four posted bed is surrounded by fairytale lace drapes. A honeymooner's paradise, this beautiful, airy room has it's own private balcony to watch the doves gather in floral courtyard. It also features a luxury jacuzzi air spa bathtub.

    The Dove Loft is our signature suite situated in our light, bright attic. With a stunning, carved Moroccan double bed, snug lounge area and contemporary style slipper bath, this dreamy space is the perfect romantic retreat.

Parking

Parking is situated in the pay and display car park on Church Street, on the harbour side. It is priced at £9.00 for 24 hours and is within 3 minutes walking distance.

On busy weekends, when this carpark is full, Whitby Abbey car park has ample space.

Check in

Staff are onsite from 9 am until 1pm, however, Contactless Stays are now offered so you can arrive at your leisure.

Your key will be left in the door, with directions and check in information sent to you via email.

Check Out

Check out time is at 10am .

Please put your key in the door and pay using the payment email option, or pop into the office to use the card machine.

Cash payments save on unnecessary card processing fees, and really help small businesses.

Contactless

Self check in is offered as part of Contactless Stays.

Rooms are cleaned to the highest standard with keys left for you to enter the room.

The McHugh Budd family live close by and are easily contactable by phone.

Breakfast

Sanders Yard Cafe is located just in front of The Old Workshops and they serve a fantastic breakfast between the hours of 9 and 11am every morning.

A selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options are available.

Bag Store

Bags can be safely stored in the office if you want to get breakfast or do some last minute shopping along Church Street on your last day.

The office is staffed from 9am until 1pm daily.

The Shepherds Purse care deeply about THE PLANET and try to do as much as they can to be ETHICAL and low impact.

All shampoos, conditioners and hand and body wash are supplied by LA-EVA.

It’s now common knowledge that one of the best tools to tackle the climate crisis and keep our temperatures from rising above 1.5C is planting more trees. They are also crucial in preventing ecological collapse.

The Shepherds Purse work with Ecologi to help offset their carbon footprint.
