In 2017 The Shepherds Purse Ceremony Space was lovingly and artisanally crafted from reclaimed materials, as a home and studio space for eldest McHugh Budd sibling, Michelle’s wellness brand - INDIRA. Designed to be a women’s only safe haven in which you can be guided to facilitate your own healing, the Ceremony Space is adorned with objet d’art from beautiful faraway lands, as incense burns, scenting the room with delicate perfume.

After successfully running The Shepherds Purse dress shop for ten years, and with extensive training in a range of holistic therapies Michelle McHugh Budd, launched her own brand - INDIRA Natural Beauty - to compliment her family’s long established Guesthouse.
INDIRA combines workshops, treatments, therapies and retail within a purpose built Ceremony Space, nestled within the Secret Garden. Michelle hand selects each exquisitely made product - including LA-EVA skincare - to incorporate into her work.
All products are also available to purchase directly from the online shop, or in person from the Ceremony Space.

Just a stone’s throw from Whitby Abbey, on the east side of historic Church Street, it’s a tranquil retreat hidden in the heart of Whitby.
